1. Introduction

These terms govern your use of Pimochi, a language learning service. By creating an account or using the service, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use Pimochi.

2. The Service

Pimochi is a language learning platform that provides AI-generated and curated reading articles, vocabulary tools, audio listening, and comprehension exercises. Content is generated by AI and curated by humans. While we strive for accuracy, language learning content may occasionally contain errors.

3. Your Account

  • You must provide a valid email address.
  • You are responsible for keeping your password secure.
  • One account per person.
  • You must be at least 13 years old to use Pimochi.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use automated tools to scrape content or abuse the API.
  • Attempt to access other users' accounts or data.
  • Use the service for any illegal purpose.
  • Resell or redistribute generated content commercially.
  • Circumvent rate limits or security measures.

5. Content

  • Articles, translations, and audio are generated by AI and/or sourced from our content pool.
  • Content is provided for educational purposes and may not be 100% accurate.
  • We do not guarantee linguistic perfection — language is nuanced and AI-generated content should be treated as a learning aid, not a definitive reference.
  • You retain ownership of any vocabulary notes or personal data you create.

6. Daily Limits

Generation of new articles is subject to daily limits. These limits may change as we scale the service.

7. Availability

We aim for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. We may perform maintenance, update features, or modify the service at any time.

8. Account Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms. You may delete your account at any time from Settings in the app, which will permanently remove all your data.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

The service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. We do not warrant that the service will be error-free, uninterrupted, or that generated content will be perfectly accurate.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Pimochi shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service.

11. Changes to Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via email or in-app notice. Continued use of Pimochi after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

12. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the United States. Any disputes shall be resolved in accordance with applicable U.S. law.
